Hi everyone, this is a thread I ran on the Atlas forum every Friday asking what are modeling plans for the weekend are, then Monday I would ask what we accomplished, if you don't want this here let me know but it's a fun little thing. My plans, I have a few car kits that need built, hope to get them done. A couple of engines need detailing. Have one engine to paint and decal, plus run trains can't let the rails rust! Have a great weekend.
I think it's a neat idea for a thread. Not just for HO. But any scale. My plans? Well, I started today. Not quite modeling though. Am still working slowly at finishing the basement. Moved a bunch of stuff in order to do further work on one wall. Also, I recently negotiated about 90 square feet more space. So am doodling at the drawing board. Progress has been slow, as funds are less for while.... Come Monday, I may not have much to say that's exciting. But there will be a little progress. Boxcab E50
I am changing plastic wheelsets to the N scale 33" Atlas metal wheelsets on the rest of my rolling stock.
Hi, Brian Not much on the trains this weekend. I put the Rustoleum Epoxy basement finish in my train room when I started. My wife liked it so much I am in the porcess of finishing the rest of the basement. I'm about 40% done. Lots of cracks to fill (the house is 100 years old). At my current rate of progress, I should be ready to finish next weekend. Then maybe it's back to trains! Tom
Just returned from a garden railroad run. Of cource there was some talk of H0 since most of us has H0-layouts too. Picture from our GR run if your interrested uploaded to my photo gallery Cheers Leif [ 12. June 2004, 23:36: Message edited by: Leif ]
I will be working on my first attemp at a mountain. Should get must of the outline done and maybe start adding some castings. The mountain has two portals with double tracks running through it.
I have had an undec Stewart late phase U-25-B (split windshield) sitting in a box for two years. Detailed it last weekend, applied the ROCK ISLAND bright red last evening, will mask it off for the yellow ends this evening and may even get it painted tonight. Will become RI #243 an early U-28-B.
Yesterday I assembled two box cars and today I hope to have time to continue the weathering experiment. I also finally bit the bullet and ordered a digitrax zephyr system and two decoders to jump in the dcc pool. Only 98 more decoders to go. ha ha ha. (hysterical laughter over the price). The fun will really begin when it arrives! -Jeff [ Atlas forum refugee ]
Hope to finish a Branchline Blueprint C&O 50' boxcar then weather it. If the paint arrives tomorrow, I'll spray the last RS-2 so I can decal it next week.
