Jan-Feb NSR Text and Pictures by Mr. Blackman. Stirring photograpy, thought provoking words. Flash There is an object on the unused track at 7 o'clock from the right side ladder. Is that a soldered connection?
Nice article! This is an often overlooked aspect of most model railroads! Flash- I'd like to see more of Dan's work! Boxcab E50
Bob and other subscribers- Why does this magazine come in a plain white envelope with what looks like full postage?
I just recieved my copy personally from flash today, I'm having coffee with him tomorrow but he does have net connection from his motel so maybe he will see this thread.
If you see this Flash, dont forget to wear your "City Rail" safety vest on the tarmack whilst doing your walk-around
Another Dan K. car. He is good!! BTW, this is not the Micro Trains issued car; it is on a MT undec shell. Then custom painted and weathered. Colonel: I sent you a pic of SYD N scale. Maybe you could post? [ 23. December 2004, 22:55: Message edited by: sapacif ]
Guys, what is NSR ? A magazine I presume, and where can I get a subscription ? I viewed the Blackman gallery and was suitably awed by what I saw, and inspired. I mean, just how many hours of work goes into something like that ? Steve
Flash was actually quite lucky that he was with me on Wednesday and not on Thursday, Left Central at 1818 to Cronulla and thanx to a electrical storm didn't get back until 2300 ended up spending just over 6hrs on the one train not fun
It is indeed a magazine. N Scale Railroading. They do not have a web site. North American N Scale Railoading- P.O. Box 77296- Seattle, WA. 98177-0296- USA. 6 issues annually (Bi-monthly.) Overseas $60/year by Air Mail. Perhaps Alan, or Gary, or Martin, or one of the other guys in the UK can tell you where to find a local retail copy? Boxcab E50

It was 6 pm when I left Sten on Wednesday and I was dragging badly from lack of sleep! Had to get another pax to wake me up at Circular Quay (a stop on the City rail train where I stay in Sydney). Missed Sten at coffee today; probably my mess up as Colonel says I do the all the time! Or at least once. I am in the New South Wales library using the internet. Great facility. No one here on Christmas eve except me and the librarian. back to the USA tomorrow about noon Sydney time. We really have had a good few days of trains. BTW, the largest cruise ship in the world was here last night. Lots of tourists and an impressive sight.
No Flash not your stuff up, CityRail's stuff ups and electrical faults saw me doing just over 12hrs, so I didn't get home until about 0130, I didn't actually wake up until about 1000. Sorry about missing the Coffee, but have a good flight and Merry Christmas. Saw the Ship when crossing the bridge, wouldn't that be an impressive sight in N scale
