Yes it's Monday and another weekend has passed, did anyone get any modeling done? I was able to finish the RS-11, but I reversed the trucks so the headlight was in the long hood ( this is a Model Power unit ) and now the darn thing doesn't run like it did before I painted it. I got wheel wipers yesterday at the flea market. Picked up some HO for a few bucks and one junk engine is sacrificing them, this will make it 8 wheel pick-up hopefully this will do it! Rebuilt a P&LE clamshell coil car ( AHM) with cushioned coupler boxes, KD #22's, new trucks w/ 36" metal wheels and some paint, turned out pretty good. The F7 did not get any attention, but I did work on it right before this post. I also got 14 salvageable cars in the flea market box, mostly Tyco & AHM but usable, looked them over to see what they need to be upgraded. Hope everyone had a great weekend -
I purchased some pink foam and glued it over my roadbed. ( this is a first time adult layout for me ) I also purchased some scenic designs grade starters and built some additional benchwork. All in all one of my more productive weekends in awhile. Dave
I was able to get all the grab irons, windshield wipers and most of the handrails on my Kato SD45, despite the nice weather and the long honey do list.
It's been raining all time. Didn't complete all tracks on the LGB layout. Invited a few train freinds to dig durt on thursday. Hope to complete it then and do some train runs .
I was visiting my mother in law this weekend. I did manage to get several sections of backdrop built last evening because my wife was stuck late at work. I also received a large box of S Scale track yesterday afternoon, so I pretty much have everything on hand for trackwork.
I managed some work on my HO cow and calf, and some tidying up - at least I can find the locos now. Jon
