When is someone going to make a BQ23-7? No joke.. When I was a young lad I think I remember seeing a couple or three of these. Here a link for the curious.

    BQ23-7

Is it just me or does this thing look like something from Soviet Russia?

Bachmann used to make a BQ23-7 in HO, with the notorious pancake motor drive.. Rumor has it the drive was designed to fail after 40 hours of running.

If you want a good BQ23-7 model, I would try to get a Bachmann off Ebay, then repower it with an Atlas B23-7 mechanism (which needs to be modified since the Atlas mechanism has FB trucks whereas the BQ23-7 uses EMD Blomberg trucks).

Here is an N scale "scale" I made for weighing cars. One rail is visible on the outside of the near rail. The other is glued to the ties in the fashion of a bridge guard rail between the tracks. Just a nice detail for weighing cars at an industry.

Here's some photos I took during a visit there on March 1, 2006:

Overview of the HO layout by the Puget Sound Model RR Engineers:

And following, some absolutely beautifully done model RR scenery:

The Northern Pacific's 'High Bridge' on the Stampede Pass line (this is the same bridge shown in the May 2006 Model Railroader
    Trackside Photos, page 111):

    Beautiful bridge scene:

    Another gorgeous scene:

I feel bad for anything on the business end of a Jordan spreader, but this one's straight-up intimidating! ;)

I finaly finished my SD9 in California Northern colors. I don't think it ever run together with the Arizona & California GP30 but it actually looks good.

Another AC model got the finishing touch in time to make room for my next project that I just one on e-bay. The next one is also a AC 5 unit set but this time in a special Southern Pacific paint sheme I found on the Trainorder forum. Of course no decals available but that is just half of the fun.
