Has anyone ever tried acquiring products from Electrotren in Spain. I have tried through Miami Trains, but can't get a definite ship date on the Talgo cars that Electrotren produces. Does anyone out there have anything from Electrotren or perhaps a set of the Talgo cars from them? If so, how do they perform on the layout and how are they for true to life detail?

Moving from Yellow Pages to Inspection Pit.

You will have a better chance of getting an answer there!

According to advertisers of Electrotren products on eBay, the company has ceased production, bankrupted, and gone out of business. Your inability to find their products seems to confirm this. :(

I got a set of Talgo III cars from Electrotren back in 2009. Good quality and they run smoothly too.

Usually I run them along with Renfe 333 (the green and yellow one, of course), also from the Electrotren. I bought the loco around 1980 or so:

Yes that was in 2009. Since then Electrotren and theis importer E&R and both gone out of business. I have been getting mine to make the Amtrak Cascade our of spain directly. You are also (with shipping) looking at just under $50 a car. Of cource the more you buy the more you save. :p I am currently working of all five of the cascade trains that run between Eugene OR to vancouver BC
