    Man, I know I couldn't.

I wish I knew more details of this picture. It's not a railroad museum - looks like it is sandwiched on a private lot stuffed right between the kitchen window and the sidewalk. There wasn't a track there- dig the manhole. It was moved to this site.

This is the biggest lawn ornament I've ever seen! Don't need no stinkin' LGB set....

Can you imagine selling the house? "Comes with 125-ton 2-10-0 in excellent cosmetic condition".....

I agree, it would be a very hard sell. If I did that the cab of that loco would probably become my new bedroom.

I keep asking each time I see something for sale (cheep) and all she asks is what is the "Shipping" costs and "Zoning" laws; so there is hope.

Well, to answer your question, no. In fact, I got the distinct impression my remaining life could be shortened. Significantly.

You guys have ABSOLUTELY no imagination. Just make the tender into a planter.

And here I am, renting a two-story house with a large HO scale model railroad upstairs (which, BTW, I've helped work on in the past decade). It's the local club's layout, and since I'm a member, I get to host occasional meetings.

No way I could sell the steamer...........unless, of course, it was a Frisco locomotive! :D :D :DI may as well have my new living quarters looking decent, and hopefully I wouldn't lose the tender in the divorce that would follow

That locomotive would look great standing at the bottom of my garden next to the railway tracks :D I think my layout could fit into the cab

There is no way I could sell that. This guy must not live in an area with a "neighborhood association". :D

Back in the 80s I remember an old MR article on Buying your own Cabeese. As the RRs were switching to EOTs the Cabeese were looking for homes and Going cheap. The going rate for a Santa Fe copoula caboose was I think $1500-$2000 and that included free shipment anywhere on Santa Fe rails. I wonder if you can still get that Deal?

It'd be cheaper then buying the same sized house that's for sure. I could get my wife to go for that. Assuming I had the land to put it on.
