Is anyone else out there as nuts about railfanning in the fall as I am? I usually reserve at least 40 hours of vacation time for October - and my bosses are very understanding about letting me take random days based on the weather conditions. Here's a link to my RailImages album where I have posted a few fall shots: http://www.railimages.com/gallery/timloutzenhiser
Looking at your album, I can see why you like fall photography Like this one from your album I really must get out with the camera more during non-summer seasons
Tim- I love the Fall. Cooler days. The wonderful colors. I look forward to this time of year! Boxcab E50
It's not nearly as cool as yours, but here's a shot of the elevators in Garrison, ND on the old Soo Line:
A few years back my wife and I spent a couple of week in NY and PA where I did a photo survey of over 60 D&H stations. She help plan it and did most the navigation down the back roads. Why? It was Fall so she enjoyed the colors while I enjoyed Railfanning while spending time with each other doing both at the same time.
I glad to see someone found some trains to shoot. I have not had much luck for the last month at least. Nice shot of the East Portal Steve
Hey txcavgr, you even coordinated the scene with locos painted in fall colors. Most impressive, very nice indeed!
I really like eveyones fall photography I have a few good ones but I don't really like sharing them I have a Regular Camara so it would be too hard to post. AmtrakFan
