Hey all, long time no see. Its the Trainboard member formally known as BNSF7173, or Jim. Is anyone planning on going to Galesburg RR days this month? The date is June 22-23 in Galesburg IL. The show is in it's 25 year and should be a grand one. I'll be heading down on Friday morning with my wife and Jeep to do some railfanning and Saturday we will spend time and money at the model railway show. I might be running my new Kato P42s on the Bloomington module on Saturday or Sunday. Hope those guys don't mind if I brew up some Earl Grey at 10 and 3:00! If any of you are planning on going let me know, we can meet up, and have a go at some railfanning.
hey jim this is mitch from the bloomington and also heritage group, if you want you can run in the gym on the monster layout with us. bloomington is gonna be small and i think there will a good number of guys there to run. we will be setting up on fri around 12 noon and then eating and foaming later. hope to see you there, mitch,.

jim i will be running some mopac 80 macs and fuel tender on a grain train and maybe some other stuff. i've been too busy painting for another club member to get some other stuff i had planned done like a mkt bicent. gp40 and caboose. jack look us up i will be in the gym and also so will ed pinkley from t board. royal blue and max plant will be there also. little giant(harry grossman) will be running his little legs off all weekend also!!!!!!
I just got 2 tickets to ride the Milwaukee Road steam train from Chitown to Galesburg. Anyone else having the pleasure to do this? Its a first for me, and I am very excited to see how it goes, especially in the open-air cars/vestibules...whatever they call them. Its worth a pretty penny, and like my brother said he wouldnt pay for it but for us who got bitten by the railroad bug, its worth it! Tsk tsk....some people dont understand the only way to travel!
You all need to pick a time to go to the willis steel webcam so all of us who wish we were going can see you all.Mitch knows where it is he and I stood there and waved to my wife last year.It was rather neat and then maybe alan and sticky monk can see you also.IT IS A THOUGHT PLEASE let us know.
