Nice! Never been to the Tehachapis, but would like to sometime... Is that a DC or an AC GEVO? What's your camera?
DC GEVO. BNSF 7650-7799 DC units. ES44DC BNSF 5748-5843 AC units. ES44AC BNSF 5714-5747 AC4400CW. These are GEVOs. 5838, 5839, 5840 are AC4400CWs. Delivered out of sequence. They aren't GEVOs. 5837 is missing from the roster. [ October 26, 2005, 08:22 PM: Message edited by: doofus ]
Hemi, Thats a DC Gevo.. BNSF units numbered 7605-7799 are DC Gevo units, while units numbered 5719-5737 are AC Gevo units.
I haven't been able to find out why the out-of-sequence units were delivered that way. Usually they are test units. It is easier to keep track of test units that are out of sequence. They stand out.
Great photographs! Caliente was my favourite place during my visit to the area. The shot at Woodford is also a goodie
Hey Colonel and Hemi.....The first pic was taken with a telephoto...I have forgotten the specs on it...it's not one of the high-end ones though...and the second pic was taken with the EL-Cheapo plastic lens that came with the camera...18-55mm...
Great telephoto photos. I've never been able to get those long zooms to be steady enough. Tripod, monopod..... Am envious! Boxcab E50
