    Hi everybody i am new to this board, infact my 1st post. I have a question for anyone who could help. I am fairly new into trains and learning about them and taking pictures and i know of some yards in my area, but i go to Palm Springs alot and always see awesome trains and engines out there by the 10 freeway. Can anybody point in the direction of a yard out there? Any help is great. Thanks

    Sounds the the old Southern Pacific line between LA and Yuma Az. UP (SP) West Colton yard is not to far west of Palm Springs perhaps a hour or two.

    There is a small yard in Indio. Not much going on there.

    thanks for those whove responded. So far from my research i have found that the tracks are old SP tracks. All help is much appreciated thanks again everyone.
