My name is lovegod and I am new to the forum. I need help on passing the pre-employment reading comp. test with Union Pacific. Is there a book or anything I can study to pass general knowledge test. I failed the first time I took the test on October 24, 2005.I have to wait 6 months to take test over. Please help me pass the test. Any advice.

Welcome to Trainboard, LG! While I cannot help with what books to study, I'll defer this Q to one of our other knowledgeable folks.

    Welcome To TrainBoard!

Is this reading comprehension in general? If so, what about checking with your local school district. They often have evening courses for adults. Or a community college will usually have the same.

    Good luck!

This sparked my interest, so I went to UP's website and looked at their job openings.
Anyone know what the pay range is for: (it's not posted on their website)

    1) Electronics Technician

    2) Engineers

first of all the reading part is basic my five year old could pass it, so as far as help, it is very basic, there is no book you need to read just learn to read. Second, the pay for the first year expect about $40- $45 grand and about $50-$55 the next year
