Saw the one on the Northeast US area (aka D&H) and it was great. Good turnout at all the stops along the way.

Hey guys. I just saw it in Glenview Illinois. About 200 people showed up and I talked with the engineer for a while. We both agreed about being nervous with all the people, especially little kids, around the platforms. I hung around the head end and i didnt really catch the music or santa, but as they pulled out they were on the last car. They almost collected a whole truckload of food donations, so thats good! They stayed for about 20 minutes, and I spent about 10 mins in the cab talking to the crew. It was fun, and it really makes it feel like christmas!

In the "Bah, Humbug" category, there was an article on Altamont Press that said the BNSF (Idaho, Montana) area Christmas train will not run this year, as in the past the employees volunteered without pay to run it. This year there are no volunteers. Christmas spirit has been replaced by Greed. Where are we headed? :(
