Any one model SP or D&RGW that have these? I personally love tunnel motors. Just bought an OMI Rio Grande SD40T-2 custom paint from Bill Lambert of Brass Locomotive Co, and cant wait to get it in. Im a heavey and die hard modeler of the SP and D&RGW and wanted to know who else is a nut like me for these roads. Hi Kyle, Welcome to the TrainBoard family here! Always Glad to have another So Pac lover and fellow HO model nut. My favorite engine is the AC-9 streamlined Yellowstone steamers we used to race along beside just before WW II. I have been in process of making one in HO. It will be my last one.
Hi Kyle, I am new to this site myself. Like you I am a big SP fan. I have been chasing the SP for many years. I have put my modeling on hold for many years after a move. I made the mistake to pick up a MMR after years. I found myself very excited over the new Athearn SD45-T. I have three of these beautiful engines. As a model maker by trade, the detail over the SD40-T is superb. Unfortunately I did not buy any of the SD40-T. I am searching for them currently. I have two models still in the box that I have found , but I have plenty of pics.
Hi Kyle, here`s my SD40T-2. It was an undecorated Precision Scale model. I changed the frame including the trucks with an OMI SD60 chassis and custom painted it with Floquil colors. Stefan My Gallery
