Right now, just the occasional drive-by of the rail yard, though this is more due to time constraints as opposed to weather. Russ
I must admit I've done some "DRIVE-BY-SHOOTING" at railroad yards before! They were "Kodak Moments", though.
Johnny,I bought a 4x4 dodge ram,to get to the places I usta couldn't. wife says Im nutz, well I married her . Anyway,I'm still trying to figure out how to post images (some kind of block I guess) brain and fingers dont work together sometimes
Yes spouses do tend to think we are a bit nuts, and so did mine until she saw my first big RR paycheck!!! She now thinks trains are OK! CT
Remember guys, do our wives want us chasing trains or skirts? (the bachelors among us can do both ) BTW, due to time constraints, my railfanning is restricted to what I see driving past East Yard in Grand Junction. I plan to do some more on my drive to Arkansas to see my son graduate from high school.
That's good to hear, Johnny. I have a daughter who is graduating next year from the same high school her brother's graduating from in May. That's two 2500-mile trips I have to look forward to (and with great anticipation, I might add). For all of us who have sons, daughters, grandkids, nephews, etc. going thru graduation, my best wishes for a bright future.
Remember Struther Martin in Cool Hand Luke? Imagine this in his voice............ "Railfans don't need no keys, Luke............" Or............"KEYS?????? KEYS?????? WE DON' NEED NO STINKIN' KEYS"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last week I made reservations on The Empire Builder for early September. If they don't go out of business before then, I'll travel from Seattle to New York.....on the rails. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to get my own railroad going.......and Summer is upon us. Now it's time to sail.
