Spotted a Chessie GP38 (2077?) in Greensboro, NC today stenciled for the ACWR in eastern NC. Should stay in those colors for some time and is still in decent paint!
Wow, I missed that I have not seen the unit that far from "home" (it belongs to the Aberdeen, Carolina, & Western) The last place I saw it was was in the yard at Star, N.C. The AC&W yard had quite a collection of old CSX units in various states of disrepair, including GP9's, GP16's, and GP38's. I had heard they were getting another new (used) unit too.... I know I have pics of that unit somewhere, but it may be the old-fashioned kind (film ) Harold
