Hi there, it's been almost two years since my last layout in N Scale and I have to say it's good to be back. I'm going to be starting on a new layout but this is going to be a small apartment type layout taking up only an 18" x 39" space. Set in the 1980s it will be an industrial switching type layout with two larger industries and numerous smaller industries. Anyone with any ideas or links to small shelf type railroads with help is muchly appreciated.

This is always a good place to start when lookong for small trackplans:

You're not going to have room for more than just a couple of industries in a 18" by 39" space, though. :cat:

I tried sitting in an N scale chair once and absolutely crushed it.

    Hello and Welcome Back

I also enjoy the layouts from the site posted by ThirdRail. I have found some interesting ideas at this site as well. They are HO scale bookshelf switching layouts, but inspiration can come from many places.

Let us know what you come up with.
