This weekend I got some Elmers wood glue. Will this work on glueing a hydrocal tunnel to wood? Or do I need some thing else.

I know for sure that Elmer's white will do the trick.

I've glued plaster tunnel liners to plywood with it. It should work fine.

It will work fine on most porous materials like plaster (hydrocal) to wood. Just do not seal or paint any of the areas to be glued since it will affect the bond. Ad a bottle of general purpose type Elmers White glue to the workbench inventory too since it will also work well for porous materials.

If you are going to be installing any wood tunnel portals suggest staining before using the glue as it will take stain, or paint, differently where there is glue.

The wood glue will work as will the white glue.

Both white and yellow have worked just fine for me.

I used the wood glue. It worked fine but I got some in a switch and now I have replace it. The full story is in lesson learned. I forgot to cover the track with paper first. Was in too much of a hurry.

You don't have to replace the switch. Just flush the glue with some warm water and slide the mechanism back and forth to free it up.
