How Much are Decoaders? How hard is it to learn how to use and opperate the system? and last but not least how many conversion frams do they actually make? Any Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joshua.
It is like most everything else in this hobby (or any hobby): The sky is the limit! You can get an entry level DCC system fairly cheap and cheap decoders, however depending on your scale and intended use (short and long term) you need to plan your investment.... Harold
I'm I guess you would say pretty heavy in the Drug so the best is the best. I have quite a few Premium Manufactures Engines so I would only want the best to convert. This is the reason I want to know. I have over 150 Engines to convert and (I know) like anything you have to start somewhere. Mainly atlas, Kato and some LL. Thanks for the help.
Do it! You won't regret it. Check out Digitrax and Lenz. Both are excellent systems at a palatable price. Don't go cheap though because as time goes on you'll want more features.
It is on the top of my Christmas list I handed to WifaClaus last week. Hoping for a SuperChief 5 amp under the tree this year, instead of coal again (although when I get enough I can fiore up the boiler in the 2-8-0 ) John
