Just a quick note. On Friday, September 29th, the Testor Corporation terminated my position of Category Manager of both Floquil and Pactra brands. New management had gained control this past spring and there were many disputes as to what should be done with the two lines I managed. I don't forsee Floquil and Pactra going away anytime soon, just the way the lines are managed will change. That said, I thank Testor of the six and a half years for my time there.

I am still here to answer questions on airbrushing, paint and paint schemes. Many of you in the mid west will see me at seminars still conducting airbrush seminars as the "evangelist of custom painting."

Look for a new project in the O scale forum soon, painting an Atlas O GP60M in the new BNSF swoosh paint scheme!

Wish you and your future well. As I've learned over the decades, "things" happen in a career, and the best thing to do is "take" the positives, and move forward in life.:zip:

Larger companies pretty much do what they want, in spite of themselves, at times. Hard to understand or reason with them, but that's the nature of the beast.:eek:mg:

I'm sure things will work out, and thanks for all the past and future "input" you've given:thumbs_up:

Jim, best of luck to you. Sorry to hear about the take over of Testor Corp. and the new policies. But look on the bright side....if their new policies did not coincide with your management style, very likely you would have been miserable if they had kept you on and offered to re-train you to their management style.

At least you were not over 50 when asked to leave as happened with so many companies.

Jim - very sorry to hear this news. Testors is loosing a great asset here. You have been extremely helpful to me in the past! Maybe for a little while you'll have some time to relax and work on some projects around the house.
