Question re: Seattle Louis-Dreyfus locomotives @ Grain Silo (off of BNSF track) Can anyone tell me what kind of motive-power Louis-Dreyfus (the silo operator) is using at the Seattle Grain Silo? Are they low nose GP-9s? or something closely related? Thanks Gordon
I tried to look up the Grain companies website via BNSF customers website and the page would not display. Do you have any pictures of the locomotives to post? A lot of use are prototype junkies and can help with your answer.
When I was spotting grain a there a couple weeks ago one of the engines did have GP9 steciled on it, but I could not tell on the other on. Kevin
I believe they are both GP-9's I was doing some research on these about 8 months ago. But the information I found was from 2003, road numbers at the time were 2010 and 2011, both were chopped-nose GP-9's, 2010 was a former NP/BN unit, link found here http://www.greatnorthernempire.net/index2.htm?GNEGNDieselRosterGP9.htm some roster information here on both 2010 and 2011 which were both Northern Pacific Locomotives.. look for LDCX 2010 and LDCX 2011 http://research.nprha.org/Lists/Diesel Locomotive Roster/Standard View.aspx
