Hi since some of the BCR Locos are wandering the continent, lets start a post with the type, number, where you saw it and other info. So I'll start it off: Nov/07/2006 GE Dash8-40B #3909 trailing 2 CN locos CN Train#201 North Bend CPR Cascade sub Note:yellow FRA striping on running boards
Dave- Is there a roster, somewhere on line, of those units BCR had at the very end? (In or out of service.) Is there a list of those known to still exist? Boxcab E50
Nov/23/2006 GE Dash8-40CM #4620 CPR Coquitlam Yard Note:yellow FRA striping on running boards Nov/23/2006 GE Dash9-44CWL #4641 CPR Coquitlam Yard
Thanks for the roster link! Next question- Has anyone ever compiled a list of PGE or BCR model RR items? Such as in N scale? Just a moment of curiousity... Boxcab E50
I've been growing an Nscale collection of BCR/PGE stuff. I also have a fairly accurate database of Nscale stuff from most of the different manufacturers. I'll clean it up if you want a copy. DC
Feb 21, 2007. I had BCOL C44-9W 4654 leading southbound on a West Vancouver(ex-BCR North Vancouver yard) to Thornton transfer.
Closest I've come to seeing a BCR diesel was last week in Arkansas, where a former BCR Century was mated with an A&M C420 and T6 on the Ft. Smith Switcher, swapping cars out at the A&M (ex-Frisco) yard in Ft. Smith. Still in the two-tone green colors- contrasted with the A&M maroon nicely.
Just some useless info, 4654 was the last New locomotive BC Rail puchased, an order of 10 new GE dash9s numbered 4645-54. Back to the original topic Apr/01/2007 EMD SD40-2 #750 GE Dash9-44CW #4647 in an eastbound CN consist on CPR Cascade sub 4647 was very dirty
May 04, 2007: 2355 Lynn Creek Yard/Reduced crew transfer: West Vancouver to Thornton yard BCOL 4601, CN 2692, IC 6137, and CN 2690.
Although I am quite aware of CN-IC existing, it's still an odd sensation, to read that an IC unit is any place in BC. mg: :teeth: Boxcab E50
Lucky fellow! Getting to frequently see a few old "friends." If memory serves me correctly, Sarcee Yard is in Calgary? Boxcab E50
