I know everyone tries to create as much realism as possible when putting together your layouts. But they are certain scenes that are almost comical and odd. Have you included an odd or comical scene to your layout? If so, share it with us in detail or if you have a photo even better...

That's funny! I can't say that I've actually seen that but with the railroad's proximity to farms across the country I'm sure there have been incidents close to that one!

    Very nice....no matter what scale!
Those are things I was talking about. Stuff such as this makes each layout unique!

I've build a cartoon from Great Model Railroads:

    Basement for sale

No longer, this basement was bought by a model railroader. The layout is already in this basement! The next basement is still for sale.

I was at a local shop one time and the owner knowing I have a warped sense of humor steered me towards a set of Preiser "Ladies of the Night" that he ordered for a customer and the customer decided not to buy them once seeing them. So, they invaded the downtown on my layout and despite nasty looks from the ladies of town, they have been on the job ever since.

Those are hilarious. The best is that they have a bunch of Nun and Friar figures along with other church figures.

I may have to have one. The guy on the toilet too.

I mean, I'm not too debased, but talk about adding realism.

    From the warped minds...

It's funy you mention that set, I have that that I ordered when I decided to model a local RR office for a seperate project. There was this notorious secretary..... :0) (No, I did NOT partake either!!). It too will have a hidden light switch and you'd have to know where to look to find it.

    Crazy minds think alike eh?

I wish I had a photo, but I saw one once where there was a city public water works building. Behind it was a fenced off lot with a line of fire hydrants leaning against each other. Outside the chain link fence, on the sidewalk, was a pack of dogs fanned out staring through the fence at all the fire hydrants.
