No change noticed on DI's website at all, but I noticed that Walthers now lists part numbers for these and show them as being decorated in TTX, TR and FEC, as seen here...

I don't think this is old news and I'm hoping this means these are getting a little closer. My kitbashed set needs company! ;)

I'd take at least three, and have been waiting for these to come out since I got back into trains.

I am so looking forward to these it's unbelievable! These and the 5-unit, 53ft All-Purpose spines as well. I asked about these with Deluxe at Trainfest and they said early half of 2007, so I would say they are getting closer. What do you guys think price wise? $59.95 w/o typical discounts? I have been trying to guess and used the Kato release of three unit articulated stack cars as a base. Whatever it is, sign me up for about 6 right off the bat! Now, get those 28ft UPS Drop-frames released and we'll be talking!

They will be sweet, no doubt about it. Russ - yours looks awesome!

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for my wallet!) I believe these hit the rails in the late '90's, after my modelling era (1995), so I think I'm safe...can anyone confirm what year they came out?

    1) Russ: I think I see a future winner in the greenlightintermodal contest-- excellent job!

    2) I absolutely can't wait for all the upcoming deluxe releases, the spines, and all the various Maxi's (literally can't wait as I went ahead and got a set of the 40' maxi's from nscalekits) I check their website every day to see if they have arrived yet

    3) I love the people at Deluxe, they stay in good contact, are responsive to customers, they are awesome, having said that I do wish they could give us a little bit more prospective about when the pre-ordered product may be arriving. I have noticed some of the big internet stores are not as quick about listing some of the newer pre-order items (ex/ the FEC trailers) any idea why? I want to make sure I don't miss them while not paying a higher price tag. That aside, they are great guys and I'm going to end up spending a lot of money on them!

Hope to the spines and the new Maxi III's soon!

I don't mean to be a spoil sport - as I can't wait for these - maybe I just watch Walthers.com closer - but these have been up for several months...

DI is doing something. I called about a month ago and asked what the status of the spine cars were. Reason I called is when I went to thier site, they did not have them showing any longer. Good news is that the girl who picked up the phone stated that they are working on another spine car project, but she could not give any more details at that time. So hopefully these are not to far off.
