Hello, I need help from fellow model railroaders out there, on this one. Had already ordered, paid for, and was awaiting arrival of the first run of Athearn 30K, Ethanol Tanks Cars, in the three packs. My hobby dealer had an unexpected family emergency and had a fill-in cover the shop. He accidently sold my Athearn 94263, UTLX 3 pack set of tank cars. I am in search of this item, and could use help with a phone number to where, I may purchase. Horizon Hobbies in Champagne, Illinois is out of this item. Please email any and all answers to Trainwrecker60@AOL.com Sincerely, Trainwrecker60
I've moved this from the Ready Track. More modelers will see it here in The Inspection Pit. Believe this must be an HO item? Perhaps try one of the on-line auction sites? Good luck! Boxcab E50
Sorry to hear about that. On another note. Is this the hobby shop that is on the raod parallel to the railroad out there? I'm curious because I used to live there. Do you know anyone who has pics of urbana N&W trains from the 70's? I am looking high and low for just one shot of the old Wabash branch south of town. thanks
No, this is not Red Board Hobbies, but that is the one, I primarily deal with now. Paul Fries is a top notch dealer, and does take care of his customers, very well. His shop is located on the Old Collinsville Road, just down from the QT, if you are familiar with Belleville, IL.
Yes, I got my money back, unfortunately, and a bunch of apoligies. This was not the first incident with this dealer, I now used another hobby shop, that is way more reliable. Infact, I drove by and noticed the shop, was up for rent. So maybe, he closed the Green Caboose.
Thank you, for moving my post. Still learning a lot about this board, but my search goes on. Individual hobby shop, by individual hobby shop, from the back of Model Railroader, Model Railroader Craftsman, and any other modeling magazine that has a hobby shop, listed in it. I have been trying to cross reference, between all of the magazines, to make sure, I don't do a repeated call, lol. Again, sincerely, a thank you is in order. Trainwrecker60@AOL.com John A.
