[IMG]After 27 years in storage I found a old F(x) series Cast Frame that
went with a old CB&Q F series I had and sold back when I was 15.
The moter had to arms comming off each end of the motor, rubber bands drove the wheels on the trucks. Well after searching high and low, near and far, I havent been able to find all the parts I need to build a new one using the frame.
I was hoping someone here new where to get all the parts that I need to build a new. I am not sure if Atlas or Athearn made it.
    Thanks Mike

I know it has some falue as I have seen used frames on Ebay and they were going for as much as a $100 and sold. This one has never been run or put together. I had a F series A and B unit CB&Q great running ,Quite and smoth running. The only problem was there pulling power. I always ran freight and 30 car trains were not uncommon on my old layout. I sold the units and had picked this frame up at a swap meet when I was 14 or 15 (Long Time ago) to build another unit in hopes of having more power. Thats where the story ended and the frame was lost to time for 27 years. I had to move in with my Father and the layout was taken down and boxed up. I have a Grandson who brought the kid out in me again and well here we are today this lost pice and wishing I hadnt sold the other
CB&Q F units. I doubt I'll ever build it since I am not running any F units and most of my trains use SD40-2, Sw1500's Mac70's GP38's
I am going to look and see but I doubt I'll do anything as I have started on Steam for the CB&Q Steam Era(Thats where my Heart is for Trains)
Thank You kindly for the links

This is a good story. Let us know if you are able to locate the parts for this H0 rubber band drive F unit. Thanks.

I have thought about building from scratch and come to the conclusion that I dont want to vest any time in to this project.
I have gotten Great feedback from other Athearn Fans and alot
of advise on where to look for parts. The only place I'll be able to get parts is on E Bay or at shows. I'd rather spend the time and money on restoring my 0-8-0 Rivarossi tender driven Steam Loco.
I havent decided on what will become of the frame, maybe someone has a broken frame and needs a new one who knows time will tell.
