Almost forgot this! It was just one of those days. Started with the icy roads on the drive to work and then interviewing potential secretaries for our office. Came home and right out the door again. Right now the weekend is pretty uneventful. Softball practice for my daughter and a basketball game for my son. I would like to start adding trees and clump foliage to the mountain and the hillside. I also need to make trees. I should also go through the pile on the workbench and decide on the next project.
Between working the graveyard shift, sleeping, and watching NFL conference champeenship games, not sure how much I'll do, perhaps adding details on diesel shells and prepping an SD40-2 shell for a repaint to the KCS "ghost" scheme.
No modeling this weekend. Spending Friday and Saturday looking for a house in Champaign that is Model Railroad Friendly. Sunday I'll pack away Tina's O three rail Westfield layout. The N scale is mostly packed. Jim
I will be working Saturday then heading to my parents house that evening. On Monday I will be going to PA for a job interview.
I'll be working on placing additional trackage down on the layout. Will hopefully also find some time to work on some bridge piers I'm making from Balsa.
Friday Afternoon: started consruction of the Unitrack Helix for the Canton Division. Friday Evening: Enjoyed Professional LaCrosse game - MN Swarm vs Rochester Knighthawks.....Minnesota won Saturday & Sunday: Will continue construction of the Helix. Photos will be posted soon of the progress. It is slow going but that is fine as long as I get it right
There's a local "Toy Train" Museum that has a bi-annual Train Meet (As in "Swap Meet"_, it's happening this Saturday. Usually there's tons of modelers that display their modulars and of course sell and trade their stuff. Taking the wife and kids. Should be fun. :shade:
I finally found a source for 2" pink foam, and scored two sheets. Now I can get moving again on construction!
I'm busy with my control panel for the facility. I want to take off power of the facility tracks. Even with DCC this is useful. I've a few engines with sound. Wolfgang
I plan to do more research... still waiting for some more funds so I can purchase some more stuff to start my layout... but unfortunately, college is priority. Cheers,
I'll continue to work with Vanda Orchid chips as rock castings on the addition to the JJJ&E. Stay cool and run steam.....
