Those locos looked brand spanking new! Nice pic. I used to live in Jacksonville, FL and saw the Tropicana train all the time railfanning with my father. I moved for school and now I never see it. It might run through Tallahassee, but I've never seen it. Does it go straight north from FL or ever west?

Well it is good to know the CSX 5400 got to the train so quickly. It was the 2nd unit on NS 11E on the 3rd of the month in Indiana headed towards Decatur IL.

It was nice and sunny whne I caught the juice train, but COLD! (18 degrees). It didn't sound like the reefer units were running at all...

As far as I know, the Juice Train pretty much runs from Florida to New Jersy and back only.... It runs as a unit train Northbound (full) but can run Southbound (empties) as a unit train or in blocks on other trains.

    Those units were real new!

As of the past 6+ months, the northbound Juice Train typically runs with some of the newest and/or best power: AC60's, SD70AC's, and ES44DC's.

Any chance you can post what time it was when the train ran through Dunn? I'd love to catch it as it rolls through Selma. That is assuming it doesn't switch off that track and actually rolls through Selma.

The train rolls directly thru Selma and is usually refueled in Rocky Mount by a semi tanker! Typically, I have caught it in Rocky Mount mid- to late morning. A scanner is extremely helpful, as it will give you insight as to what is going to occur on the A line.
