    Hi all,
Several years ago BLW/Legacy did a run of SD45s. One of the engines was a Delaware & Hudson with the Erie Lackawanna stripe scheme. These were units that were originally D&H traded to the EL for U33Cs and then back again just before Conrail. The D&H only painted out the EL name and replaced it with D&H. Well, I didn't purchase any and now I am sorry. Does anyone have one to sell or trade? Where can I find one or two? Thank you

SRL custom painted those Loco's BLW sold. As the owner passed away a couple of years ago you can't get one by SRL.
You may be able to find one around but even on E-bay the model you want will be very tough.
Better bet would be to find a custom painter to paint your desired unit.

Alright Mike what do you mean? If I can get one or two of those I will probably do backflips on the LIE.

LOL........ If you want to do back flips on the LIE you won't have to worry about the D & H.

Pretty much the Kato SD45 is getting a bit scarce in the first place, though they are still found easily on E-bay Kato doesn't really take a lot of effort in a new run of these. I don't think you would want to consider anything other than Kato in N-scale for a SD45. I use my SD45's daily and though getting some age they are top notch, I've purchased a couple through E-bay. Then find a custom painter. It's going to cost you a fair sum but I tell you, the paint scheme you want and the quality is worth it. Some of the custom painters are very reasonable when compared to what you might pay should you find what you are looking for on e-bay. Example a nice High Hood CP rail SD40-2 went for $290.00 last week, it was used but great with details. It wasn't a difficult paint job all black as a x-NS unit. I've seen a lot of recent custom jobs on ebay that are nice but way up there.

But you know there are some good custom painters out there. A few on this forum maybe they will answer.
    I like Scott Teague.
The Colonel has some excellent custom painted loco's. There are others.
There is this guy named N-scale Steve I think he is in New Zealand but his work is flawless, he is on this forum.
Post looking for a custom painter.
Oh, it's to cold to try the LIE this week.

    Hey Curious,
Yes it is cooooold today. All the roads are frozen with ice. Anyhow, i think I will post for a custom painter for those units. Secret Weapon did hint that someone he knows will soon do them. I hope so. Now I must begin lookong for the best deals on SD45s. I already have 8 (3 EL, 2 D&H, 2 Reading, and 1 EL bicentennial) LOL
