I think the MT has the edge in the lower steps, the RC one's are rather large, huge compared to MT. Overall I'd give the RC the edge in detail and appearance. The MT rack sides are solid plastic that are not transparent, simliar to Concor. There both better than CC but neither is perfect.
Have you seen the con-cor ones with the NSN panels installed? That is the ones with the cut out panels that you can see through? Don't know how to post pics for the one I did?
MT cars have solid pastic sides? Say what? Last time I looked at the MT cars they had Etched Sides on them. I will admit they don't look as good as the RC. The MT cars sit a little bit higher and don't have the roof detail the RC cars do. MT cars have finer paint and steps compared to the RC cars. I think either way that they are better the ConCor. Just got my UP rack and I'm wholly impressed. I posted my impressions on Atlas, but suffice to say I am extremely happy with this release. I summed it up pretty good in my other post...if there IS a car worth $28, THIS is it.

The biggest reason you can't see thru the MT cars is the big plastic weight they have on the inside. You can take the top off and see it. This is what is preventing the see thru affect that the RC cars have. The MT cars also have just flat etched metal sides where as the RC cars have more of a corrugated side. Both ways both cars look really nice and I’m glad that we now have two different companies making a great product. Mike
I agree, both cars are very nice indeed. I had not disassembled the MT car so was unaware that this was the reason it was not transparent. Thanks for the feedback.
