If you still have that first piece of C&O equipment how about a photo. If you dont have a photo at least tells us about it. This an old C&O boxcar made by Bachmann. Has to be around 35+ years old. Thats not weathering. Its wear from the thing beating around all those years. Of course microtrain trucks have been added.:rose:
I got these in 1971 (I think). They are both MRC - the FA2 was made by Mehano in Yugoslavia and the caboose was from Sekisui. The FA2 still runs.
I had the FA2 and burned the motor out in 30 seconds. Been wanting to get another just to say I have one. I'm still looking for a caboose like that one. Both of yours look to be in great shape.
Well I haven't been around long enough to match some of that, but my first peice of C&O equipment was a P2K SW7 back in the mid-90's. It is currently stored at huntington shops (IE: My shelf) awaiting a rebuild. It hit the floor about six years ago and needs work.
My first C & O piece was a Model Diecast plastic boxcar that I "crudely" kitbashed, painted, and lettered to a C & O express car. Also, one of my first airbrush jobs. This car runs like a dog, has too little weight, and the Athearn express trucks I put on it are worthless. However, there isn't enough money on this planet to make me get rid of it. (Well, everyone has their price) It IS my first.
