My First Post

Hi Everyone!:teeth: :

Have been lurking around a little while soaking up useful information! I am in the process of trying to build a small N scale layout. I have just about finished the benchwork, and have a plan in mind.

My idea for this layout comes from Model Railroader and their recent "Black River Junction" layout. I have adapted their HO scale plan to N scale, only mine is called the White River Junction.

The idea is to have the NYC interchange with the C&O near a little town called Congerville, IN. The era will be early-mid 50's as to have a little steam action as well as some neat Diesel action.

As mentioned earlier, I have constructed the main benchwork that is 30" wide and about 60" in length.

Welcome! I have found this group to be a wonderful source of information and inspiration. The MR layout is a nice one with great operating possibilities in a small space. I think you're VERY wise to start with a layout that size. Have fun!
