i took a brake from my mohawk division for a while, the bug has bit again,so due to high levels of traffic i bought the following
    2- atlas SD-60'S
    1-atlas MP-1
    2atlas GP-38-2'S
all in conrail blue of coarse,
next U-23B'S you know the next run will inclued conrail & a few intermountian SD-45-2'S whenever they come out....
you can't ever have enough loco's,beside's my wife just bought a horse:eek:mg:

Oh I can say a horse is equivalent to many many locos. Mention "fair trade" to your wife! :D

I used the same logic when my wife bought her new Coach purse. I was able to get 2 LL 2-8-8-2s and they'll never go out of style!!!

You will need more than 2 LL 2-8-8-2's to pull whatever's in the purse. Maybe you need 2 Challengers! (Talk about horses, if you put 2 Challengers on the point & the 2 LL's on the back, might just haul the whole house away??)

MAN.. You got it made now.. MILK that horse. (that just sounded weird).. Anyway.. make the deal now.. Tell her for every $100 in feed and care she puts into the horse, you get to spend $50 on train stuff.. BBWWAAHAHHAHHA.... (I know you would make out big time, because I am a past horse owner!!!) In a year, your collection would be 2nd to none my friend...

A horse? :eek:mg: Those can cost a few dollars to maintain! Much more than a model RR! Serious negotiations are needed here!

Glad you've found the secret of compromise:teeth: I figured that one out a few years ago..... My DCC system cost a diamond ring, a D&B purse got me mechs for my RSD12's.. The list goes on....

    No wonder we're broke:eek:mg:

My wife is considering buying her second horse! Now you know the reason why my layout is top-heavy with locos :)

    Cheers

Ya...know... the compromise thing really does work to keep households in equilibrium. My wife loves plants... particularly orchids. Orchids can be expensive too. I owe her big-time for the 2 Challengers I just got. There is an Orchid Show and auction I have to attend with her this coming week... I'm going to have to 'pony-up' some cash for some exotic orchids and gardening supplies now. Fortunately... the cost of the orchids and supplies never really approaches the cost of the model trains... but... she's okay with that as long as I show some interest in her hobby.

    Jimmygolds and Dirk,
Too late, my wife already has that 2nd horse (one leads to another-and to a trailer and a bigger barn and a diesel truck, etc.). But the real problem is that unbeknownst to you she has a stable boy and you're it! You'll spend your modeling time shoveling! Horses are just expensive hay processors. Good luck!

Hmm, Where's that Lawyer when you need him.

I compromised. Rrrr wanted the RR in the Dining / Living room. Ok, dear if you insist. :)
