    Well a story of service , one company a couple orders a year the other $5000 , one email I am to busy to see if your items are shipped or even what went in the mail or even when It was shipped . Also always auto replys never emAILS ME . got a nasty one today . Then I needed paint my dealer was right after me shipped it the same day 5 emails and its shipped . The story is he wants 21.95 for Trinity Hoppers the other guy 15.99 so I guess you get what you pay for save money and get ¤¤¤¤ on . My rant for the month

    cprnorth had some frustrating experience which he had to vent. TrainBoard policy is; "No bashing of ANY dealers" and he was keeping with in this policy. We have all had times when it has felt good to let something out so let's let this go before the topic has to be locked.

    Have to understand it from a modellers perspective. He's so mad he cant type.

    And if you aren't as angry as he is while reading it comes out like Charlie Brown's mother when she yells at him.

    See I'm angry and I will translate:

    A story or poor service: One dealer I order from only a couple orders per year. Another dealer I order from I place many orders sometimes $5000 worth in one order. The dealer I do the majority of my business through always sends me an autoreply when I send an email, never one addressed to me personally. And when I did receive a personally addressed email it said "Sorry I am to busy to see if your items are in stock or if they have shipped.". I received one of those today I am fed up, FOOEY!

    Today I needed paint,

    *translator takes a sip of an adult beverage*

    Wuah wah wha wuh. Wha wuh wah.

    ..sorry guys... I lost my "Angry Translator 3000" after the cold adult beverage.

    Moral of the story CPRNORTH is angry that the dealer he works with to save money gives him crappy service. I say we leave a flaming bag of dog-poo on their doorsteps!

    So spellings a issue as well HMMMMMMMMMMM ok . So today I get a email saying that I never use stock numbers so thats way theres confusion with my orders . So sometimes I guess I do not . Anyway I get my box open it and find My deluxe intems not there. I am not happy But I think they will come next time . Iopen My email and finish reading . I was told that I ordered late and that I will not get my items HMMMMMMM 7 months ago is late and he said they were shorted on there order well I tell you I am almost done with Brick and morter . I find all good thinks come to those who search the terrible EBAY site . I found My Deluxe items they never shipped me from two years ago and for a very nice price. So what am I saying never have all your eggs or trains in one basket and sometimes its better to just buy it now then preorder a year in advance or even two years as was the athearn Challenger . And again to te spelll checkers thanks for helping out

    I was up there last week ( Dave check your PM, i was going to buy you Timmies) and it was 47 below at night with the wind chill, got up to minus 27 during the day. But it was nice and sunny and they had a neat snow house out on the lake.

    I think the key is to find a reliable on line retailer. If you aren't happy with the one you have, there are two dozen others out there.

    On the pre orders with engines, I will say "Never again". From the Atlas shay to the MP 4-4-0's to whatever may come next with an issue, I will wait for the second run or, at the very least, uniformly positive reviews by people at the boards.

    E-Bay- --- I got burned once too often. It isn't worth the time or the aggravation.

    well each to there own but with all my time on ebay I have been only burnt a couple times . I found five JB Hunt 53ft plate wall trailers last week for ten bucks each , the ones bid on six months ago went for 27 dollars

    O.K. realistically you take your chances in an auction, always. the thing is an item that goes for $3.00 this week sold for $17.00 last week. and vice-versa. i have been very lucky so far i guess, but you have to catch the rythm of the overall market. and after all if you think it is too expensive don't buy it. thats what i do, its hard to keep track sometimes of what you have or what you need but it's getting easier for me. the more i buy the less i need hahahahahah i'm sorry i lost my mind for a minute. but you guys know what i mean. thanks for letting me put in my two cents.:shade:
