Wow, if I were building a layout right now, that bridge would probably end up on it.

I'm afraid to ask what the bridge will cost but if I'm working I expect one will appear over a planned river on the GandG

    Thanks for the compliments guys!

The retail price for this bridge (which again is completely assembled by hand from brass and then painted) is $225 retail; some retailers might even give a discount for pre-orders. Our goal with this and future brass projects was to provide an extremely accurate model that is priced for a very broad range of modelers (unlike brass in the past).

    Craig,
how will the K rail barriers be sold, in packs of say how many, and any idea when, working on an N-trak module right now where they would sure be handy and a better replacement for the old "T" bar beams I painted in the past
    great stuff,
    Jan

    Hey,
You can add the car stops to my pre-order. I'm adding a station like the 1 in MR last month. I'll be needing a bunch. :shade:

um, er, What are the "K Rails" and "concrete"? I'm guessing a form of "endn of track bumper"?

I love the concrete barriers. I am really excited for these. I have been fooling around with the rix products, but they have only half of the barrier. Another great product Craig!

If you've driven on a street or highway and seen those temporary concrete barriers, that's k-rail.

Thanks for all of the kind words guys!

Jan, the Concrete 'K' Rail Barriers are scheduled to ship with 12 individual 'K' Rails per package. A retail price hasn't been set yet, but we're looking at around $5-6 for the 12 pack. The concrete car stops will include 20 per package and will retail for the same price as the 'K' Rail.

Just to clarify the Barriers and Car Stops, here are the proto photos of both as listed on our website:

k rails are also known as "jersey barriers" as they seem to line every road and highway there.

I was going to make that point, but its been a few years since I've been on the road & didn't know if they changed the name.

It's amazing, when a single track brass bridge comes out, the first thing people want is a double track version. Of course, a double track version is already out in N Scale, and it sold like dead fish. It was too big!

    Ok, thanks,

I know of them as "Jersey barriers"
Never dawned on my what to call a "car stop".

Craig, I'm JUST NOW putting together my ATSF signal bridge. With fully funtional micro-LED's.

There's a couple manufacturers that have products that are so much fun that you FIND a place to put them. I rate GHQ that way; I'm like a Noahs Ark of Scott's stuff. Yours are the same way and that signal bridge is great, I'm just astounded by the quality of the etchings. I'll be ordering more.

And I need a bunch of car stops. You beat me to it. I was thinking about casting those myself!

    1) any chance of that 'other' style of signal bridge coming out that you were working on for N?

    2) Since Sunrise seems to be loosing interest in cast metal details, are you looking at parts like that yourself? Your diesel stuff is great, but I miss a lot of the more 'heritage' stuff they had. Pretty much anything you've done is better than theirs, too.

My gripe with most craftsman-type kits and detail parts is the complete lack of decent instructions and support photos. I'm glad to see that you're using good photos on your webside and downloadable .PDF's for instructions. Digital support makes the difference!
