    Jason,
I am mostly interested in the blue house you have made. All the buildings look great, but I have a perfect spot for a house like that...

More pix of the NP GP9:

How's this for close coupling? Easily makes it around the MTL 195mm oval track.

    Lost-n-Found

I am surprised that these two locos didn't come up missing after the show!!!

I can picture it all now!!!

Joe D' says, "Where did the two Northern Pacific GP9's go?"

Everyone stops what they are doing for approximately 2 seconds.

Then they all turn to look at Robert Ray!!!

With the look of a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar, Robert Ray says, "It wasn't Me!!!!"

Hah Ha Ha!!!!!! For everyone who knows of Roberts love of the NP road, this is too funny!!!!

    ----------------

    Thanks for the photos Jeff!

I had to struggle to maintain composure for sure, but it's only 4 more weeks, then it's happy time! :D

    MKT Caboose

Sorry to spoil your fun, John, but that is one of Tom Browning's scratchbuilt MKT cabooses. Tom is in the Texas and Beyond group in Dallas and is working on his NMRA MMR. His work is amazing.

    Check out his site:

(Robert, if you haven't examined Tom's site yet, there are some prototype caboose pages there as well ;-)

I had a great visit with Tom back in January when I was in Dallas for a work. He, Adam and Stephen are great hosts. Tom is also working on a program for getting teens involved with Model Railroading through his NMRA division (or is it region?).

I wish I could have stayed to see it. Much more interesting than the wedding I attended to be sure...although the food was good!

Glad I came by on Saturday before I hit the Red-Eye to New York. Great to meet everyone. It was a "who's who" of Z Scale.

    Great hozts too!

    Thanks guys!

If we met every weekend like BAZ Boyz, then we couldn't afford to eat so well! And we probably couldn't afford to buy Z scale with gas prices so high!

Great to be there-gave me some big ideas!!!

Z Scale is all about BIG IDEAS!

Sounds like a good slogan. "Big things for little trains!" ;-)

I sure wish I could have been there. Z scale appears to be at the level that N scale was. Even today, with all the improvements in N, this scale still is considered "toy" by too many modelers. There's no Z action here; this is one reason why I went with N. Not many N modelers either.

Congrats on such a show. You've paved the way for a major jump of interest in Z. Way to go!

    Hello, all,

As the NMRA Pacific Coast Region, Coast Division webmaster, we just went live with a documentary web page of the superb displays of the Bay Area Z Cooperative (BAZ Boyz), at the June 2007 Coast Division meet.

We in the local Pacific Coast Region and Coast Division of NMRA are thrilled to present the following:

    http://www.pcrnmra.org/coast/contest/June_2007_Bay_Area_Z_Cooperative.shtml

Lots of wonderful photos of the State of the Art Z scale displays by the Bay Area Z Cooperative - a talented, passionate band of San Francisco Bay Area Z scalers, who showed us all how they are pushing the edge of the Z scale world forward. We hope you enjoy the show,
here are a few shots from the web site that have not already been posted above:

We look forward to future interactions and exchanges of ideas and modeling. It's always more fun to share our hobby with each other in friendship and fellowship - that's what our local Coast Division and Pacfiic Coast Region of NMRA wants it to be about, for everyone. :)

You can see more about how we highlighted BAZ's participation on our June 2007 Meet Recap web page, and you can also enjoy extensive photos of the other models and events there:

Enjoy and great to see all of you on this thread.

    Rob,
Thanks for taking the time to document and send the pictures to NMRA, It does show what can be done in Z and what the Bazonians are up to.
