Everybody was very friendly to me, especially Joe D, considering I was the one with those kids trying to touch everything! :D

Joe D:lightbulb::lightbulb: is a remarkable individual who has done a terrific job promoting Z scale, MTL and model railroading in general. Those people who are critical of Joe are probabally in awe of Joe's accomplishments and want to feel important themselves. Joe's enthusiasim, honesty and dedication to Z -scale are unsurpassed by others and have helped to make our hobby what it is today:teeth::teeth:.

I have to agree with Roberts eloquence here.
Joe, maybe your official MLT name tag could read:
"Buy me a beer after the show and I'll be your friend too."

    NTS 2007 Photos!!!

    I second the motion!!

    Where are the photos???

Where are the photos of Winner???

Where are the photos of TrainCAT's brass Bridges? (And other items)

Where are the photos of the new BLMA items??? Hopefully some good shots of the modern HO signal tower? Bridges? And other stuff!!!

Where are the all around photos of the new items that model railroad companies are producing!!!!

You'Z Guy'Z need to think of the future!!!! What are the other scales creating that we need in Z scale???

Take photos, ask questions, get brochures, and find out as much info as possible from these manufacturers!!!! The last thing you do is make a strong impression on them to produce their items in Z scale!!!! For showing interest in HO and N items in quantity just might draw more manufacturers into the Z market thereby causing more peoples wallets to be empty all year long!!!!

    Where are the photos?

    Drinks

Actually John, I really don't drink...I think the beer I had with the MRC folks was the first one this year. You can by me a soda, but it isn't required to be my friend )

Here is a few of Traincat's brass. I was told we might see some of this in Z, but no promises...

BLAMA had a few nice things in Z, but other than what AZL and MTL was showing there wasn't much to see. For Z Scale, other than Mr Dave's Romp and a smaller, but well done Z layout, it wasn't much of a showing. This gives me and others here on the West Coast an opportunity next year to really show what Z is all about.

    Cheers

    Tim,

If I ignored you it wasn't on purpose...or maybe I just knew what sort of pain you'd be on the boards in the future...6th Sense and all )

Hi all! Ztrack will have a NTS report in the September/October issue. Sorry you have to wait so long, but with the later than usual NTS, we missed our July/August deadline. I do have some great photos of Mister Dave's and Jim Druckmiller's Z layouts.

As for new products, it was a very quiet show. Joe is right, only AZL, MTL and BLMA had items to show. No surprises though we did have some interesting conversions with two companies thinking about getting into Z. Sorry folks, I can't share but it would be very good (no Kato is not one).

    Tim,
Actually, if I saw you on the street, it might take me a few days (if ever) to determine who you were. But, if I saw you looking at Z scale at a show, I would know almost instantly. That's just the way my facial recognition works. I was also at NTS in 2005 (and 2006). I met you there. You were a bit busy trying to get Jeffery set up with your stuff because you had to leave early.
You stopped to talk to Randy between Rob A's layout and the cigar box layouts in BYOZ. If I remember correctly, your kids were off building rocks or trees or something (although, your oldest may have been standing in the background. You had some stuff (from Kurt?) in a little plastic box, including a very small push mower. You also had your scratch built Triple Crown set (at least I think that was you).

At that NTS, I also met Robert Ray, Allan Borg, Rob Kluz, Joe D., Rob A., Bill K, Loren Snyder, Mr. Dave, Don A........ and a list of very prominent contributors to this and other Z forums. And all of us were fairly busy and excited and trying to meet as many people as possible. The unfortunate thing is that there is too little time. Even at the dinner on Saturday night, there were just too many people to talk to. Giving anyone too much attention meant missing out on meeting someone else.

The first time I met Joe D. was at the MTL booth. There were quite a few people at the N scale display, and one or two at the Z. The Pennsy GP35 was making its debut and running around the small layout on the table. The other Z scale folk left, I waited. When Joe was able to break away from the N scale discussion, he came over and we made introductions, and started talking about the Geep. He stopped it and handed it to me to look at. He got called back into the N-scale fray, but kept his eyes on me with his new toy the entire time (I wasn't thinking about stealing it Joe, Honest I wasn't). When he came back over, he said that he was going to be brining a couple of them over to the Z-Bend Track modules to run for the show.

For the most part, everyone I met was cordial even if, in many cases, a bit concise. But, that has to be expected. Everyone is busy. Everyone has other people to talk to. Sometimes, "Hi, nice to meet you" is all there is time for. The day to day conversations held on this or other forums are how we get to know eachother. The national shows are fun and exciting, but way too short and busy.

    Indeed Sir................

Indeed Sir you have yourself a very nice etched signal.

I can hear all of the 'eeeewwws & 'aaaaahhhhhs as I type this.

My question for you Mr Knight is how will these be offered?

    Kit form?

    Assembled non-painted?

    RTR dummys?

    RTR with nano LED technology?

Complete RTR with all applicable electronics for operable signals to include approach lighting and turnout positioning lighting logic?

    Just curious!!!!!

We really want these signals! We want to light them up with LED's and use them on our modules! This is a needed model!

And so is that tank loading platform! I have 100 tank cars, and can really use the tank loading platform, I was even considering cutting an N Scale one down to size! Z Scale kit please! :D
