Hi Group, August 28th, 07. Tuesday 19:30 Hrs. M.D.T. A While Back Huberts Model Railroad Corp Took Over the Assets of L.B.F. I was On Their Website this Past Wkd and See that The Website has Been "Suspended" for Reasons Unknown,:zip: This Isn't Good for Buisness Unless the Company is In "Financial Straits". Ideally I Would Like to Have Seen L.B.F. Taken Over By Some Else Like say Red Caboose, Atlas, or Some Else that Makes Both HO & N:thumbs_up:. I Do Like Their High Cub Box Cars and Gondolas Plus a Few Other Cars etc. Questions Anyone? Answers Greatly Appreciated. Thanks Group,
I saw them and bought a few things at the national in Detroit. In conversation there was no talk like that.
Don't jump to conclusions - if I recall their site indicated it was developed by a third party "professional". Likely some bonehead forgot to pay their hosting service fee or something - which could have nothing at all to do with their company. If you do business on the web for heaven's sake - get a REAL professional to help you!!!
They may have changed their website URL. I found it just now at http://www.hubertsrr.com/ I think that's new--plus they don;t have all the photos up yet.
Works fine. If it goes away for 2+ days then its time to worry. Giving up on the manufacturer because their website is down? Geez I would rather have that than any other company take them over. Try building and managing a website, you will understand.
A couple of days is nothing I just finished a couple of weeks building a web site for my high school graduating class' 60th (Yeah, that's 60!!) reunion [www.sphs1948.org]. It was up and down several times during the building process. There's several ways to test a site - but none like going live. If it's not right, then you take it down - fix it - and repeat the cycle. "down" is NOT a sure sign of disaster. Even the A+++ ISP's have been known to go off line for short periods of time. Check it over the span of a couple of days before drawing any conclusions.
