Hey guys, some of you may or may not have known signalz's real name was Kevin Michael Dahlstedt. This is his son, Conrad. On September 22, Kevin was found, in his bed, dead. He complained of indigestion the day before and instead of going to the doctor, he decided to take Zantac. My dad, always tough and stubborn, died of a heart attack in his sleep. I hope he helped many of you out, I'm sure he did, he was a great guy. By posting this, I don't mean to ruin a day or make someone sad, I just want to make sure that people know signalz didn't forget about this place, and also that this place wouldn't forget about signalz. I don't know the rules of this board, so I hope this is the correct forum to be posting this in; however, the time I am posting this is late and I should get some sleep. I will check this post in the morning. God Bless.

Thanks all. I am sorry that the last posts by signalz have to be under these conditions, I know we all wish that the last post could my dad giving advice or a being witty but the best laid plans... Thanks again and I will always remember your guys' responses. Take care, everyone.
signalz was indeed a kind hearted, thoughtful person. It showed in all he did. He did not sid idly by and watch. He jumped in with both feet and forged ahead in whatever project or process he was taking part. Always one to pass along life experiences in the hope of helping someone out. He would also seek out advice from many different angles in order to acheive what he thought would be the best solution to whatever was before him. Be it family, civic duty, or even model railroading, his care and concern was right up front for all to see. He had some grand plans for his layout for which he was about to embark on construction. One that was to be a show stopper for sure! As always, it was to be a well thought out, no corners cut, show piece to which one could be proud. He would often lurk, and eventually join in on this board to enhance his model railroad capabilities. He was very excited about the future with the vision of sitting back with his family, friends, their children and grand children and just watching trains as they rolled along his pike!! A life that was a model for others. Take care signalz, you will be missed...........
Kevin was a heck of a nice guy and a regular customer. Our prayers and condolences are with your family.
Yes he was a very good man and a great friend to both me and my dad. He will be missed, A fellow modeler and neat guy to talk with. I'll miss him.
Condolences to you and your family.:rose: I had to help my mother compose a similar letter to my dad's friends when he died several years ago. For me, it was one of the tougher tasks to perform in the days immediately after his passing. Thanks for providing this closure: You've handled a difficult job with class.
