Very nice Svein-Martin. Wooden trestles are one of the reasons why I build American and that one is ok. The only one I have built so far was 2 inches long. I need to shape up. Nice to see Torsja too.

To Z-bahner, fantastic to watch four engines with a long train pulling out of the yard and winding thru the scenery.

    CSX MP15

Its my newest toy. A MP15 build by Gerd and dcc by Ed Turner. I can pull about six heavy AZL cars, which is more then I expected from such a small and light engine.

Liked your video! Is the sound car one of the TBOX's? Nice weathering too!

Gerd, I love the MP15. It runs well, and the chassis is a work of art.

Thanks Avel. The Tbox is the soundcar.

I got my three beauties in the mail yesterday. And I felt like putting in some work on my old yard layout. I call it yard layout but it is more of an industrial switching layout based on the traditional timesaver puzzle. I have added cork to all the track, one more switch and a couple of Märklin isolation track. A quick and dirty because I don't want to cut and solder just yet. I don't know which ambition level I want to put into this one yet. I was planning on rebuilding it to ZMOD module standard. And it is very small too. I can only put a few cars on each siding and I can't run very long trains on the loop either. I have a couple of Kibri factories with three smokestacks and a N-scale grain elevator that belongs to this layout. Right now I just want to run some trains. This is a short clip before the camera ran out of memory.

Three wrecks. My backstretch is obviously too close to the edge. I accidently bumped into the layout and three engines and twelve cars took a dive. So no new video. I need to put a high brim there or even better a backdrop. The SOO-line GP35 took some beating but I got a spare skin. The MILW GP9 looks ok. I have not tested if they run yet though. Don't want to.

It happens to all us. It's nothing a little glue can't repair.

The three beauties revisited. The three beauties could be the three engines up in front or the weathered set form MTL. The set of engines come from my Pentrex DVD from the Twin Cities that featured a train pulled by a UP mix of UP SD40-2, CNW SD40-2 and Rio Grande GP something. The only Rio Grande unit I have is a MTL GP9. Since my industrial switching layout is out of order for the moment I'm back on my double loop layout or crossing diorama. I got impatient and put on the cork too early. I need to put in a lot more work on the track. And I know I should have made the clip a lot shorter.

Bryan, it's a Loksound decoder installed on a boxcar. It's parked on the siding. I don't have one installed on a passenger car yet.

I got my AZL SD70 in the mail today together with a set of UP 3-bay hoppers. One was noicy but together they ran nicely after awhile. But they stalled spinning when pulling 16 hopper on my industrial switching layout with its tight curves and Märklin curved switches. I also learned something new, my small camera has manual focus when capturing a video. That could improve things. The layout is still a mess but I have added a wooden brim along the back stretch so now trains can't fall off there again.

    Is that a F40 shell from a FF F40 or 3-D printed?

That damn switch have to go. Yesterday the tankcars wouldn't go straight through the cross switch, today no problem. Instead a grainhopper decided to go straight when the rest was turning. I will replace it with two turnouts in a row. Sad I like using cross switches in yards. I will also fill the stupid cut out for the switch controls. That should give me an extra inch or two in width. Maybe I can go double track all the way around and ditch the two curved switches. I hope I can keep the siding. I don't want to change the basic layout. And I still haven't made up my mind about what ambition level I want to have so still no ballast or painted tracks.

What do you get if you combine model trains and a remote control helicopter?
