Here it is. It is a 2x4 layout. The minimum radius curve is 9 3/4. It is atlas code 80 track. The white area on the layout is where the small city is going to be. That area is 2 inches higher than the base. Joe
Nope, just a small airplane taking aerial pictures. I have made some more progress on it since this picture. Currently, I'm in the process of scratch building a grain elevator for it. I also successfully repainted my LL SW9 red. I still have to letter it up for the A&J RR.
Joe, that looks really good! I too have a small 2x4 in N-scale and like to see what others have done with such a small space. If anyone would like, I can post an aerial shot too, I will borrow Joe's surveillance plane! Russ
Russ: Charter that plane right now! Maybe if I see a few more pictures I'll finally get off my *** and build something (got a great sheet of plywood sitting in the garage whimpering at me)
Russ, you can borrow the plane. Just don't crash it. I always love to see more pictures of layouts. It gives more ideas to try out. On a side note, it looks like I'm going to have a new home for my layout and me. This whole home buying process has been slowing me down on getting work done on the railroad. The really good part is that I will have a whole room to devote to trains.
Here is the current state of the layout. I added a ramp for the road to the upper level. I also added the in progress grain elevator.
Sorry guys for the long wait but I had to get up the nerve to go up in Joe's airplane Here is an aerial shot of my 2x4 Hoffman Valley Railroad. As you can see it too is in a state of construction (well,....procrastination on my part) Russ
Nice looking looking railroad. Looks like you have made alot more progress than me. I might actually make some real progress if I ever quit trying to rearrange the track.
