JKD If we take up a collection, can we buy UP a hose or something to WASH THEIR LOCOS!!!! Pete D I’m fairly certain there are still a lot of these still standing, but I think the setting on this one, apparently adjacent to a CSX engine servicing/crew change area is great. If you look closely, there’s no longer any tracks running through the base of the tower, and it appears as though it’s only real function these days is as a base for the floodlights mounted on it. There are probably few N-scale kits that resemble this; I saw one available from Walthers that looked like it would do nicely: Modern Coaling Tower #933-3262. Coloradoflyer Here, a BNSF Loaded Coal Drag is seen waiting for a clear signal to proceed south to Littleton from LoDo Siding at Denver, Colorado, with units 8952 and 9618 as the rear DPUs.
Great stuff again Flash. You know, I swear it was yesterday that you posted last week's selections. I can't believe how time flies. The color variations in Coloradoflyer's are something, and that night shot is excellent. Good work, everyone. :tb-biggrin:
Good ones flash Ya me too. If I ever got one of those photos, I wouldn't notice the mail box till I up loaded the photo. HA!
