Ok I have a chance to get a great deal on some flex track. However it is manufactured by Model Power. It is code 83 and I am wondering what the differences are between the Atlas and Model power code 83 and if it would be worth it getting the model power track. Thanks!

I used over 500 feet of Model Power code 100 flex and have no regrets. When I was buying track, the MP was 99cents a section and Atlas was 1.50. The tie detail, (tie plates, bolt heads and small spike head) was sooo much better than the Atlas, (just a big spike head), it was a no brainer. It was a bit delicate to handle (small spike heads) and not as stiff as the Atlas, but once down and secured it has performed as well as anything out there. The extra bonus once painted and weathered, most people don't even realize it's code 100!

I haven't seen their code 83, but I would expect the same performance and value. There shouldn't be any compatabillity issues with other brands as long everything is the same code. So, if it looks good and the price is right, I would certainly go for it.
