SOO van at Havelock This is the little gem at Havelock..... That's my "little engineer" beside the van.... While clearly not exact it certainly captures the flavour...... I am convinced that the SOO invented that livery so we'd have something really rusty to model.....:tb-biggrin:
Speaking of Marty... assuming you are still reading this thread, I really like that RI wood boose you showed. Is that one for sale? If not, what would it cost me if you built me one of those? PM me if you would. Thanks..
Yes indeed it looks great! Did you notice the real one has a new number stencil? That can be easily modeled by applying a square of tape to the model before weathering then when it all done pull it off and voila ! ....dave
Number 50.... Thanks - I did see the "re-paint", but as I model 1973, and as I wanted the rust 'cause I like it, I decided to forgo the re-paint, and make the number original....I always folow the "it's my world rule"...... thanks for your kind words !:tb-biggrin:
Quick reletter of an Atlas model for the Whiteface Mountain Terminal Railway, a subsidiary branch line of my Wilmington and New York Railroad.
How about a little narrower viewpoint? This is a little Nn3 hack I built entirely out of styrene (handrails and all).
Here's a couple I painted in the ARR paint scheme a few years ago. As Murphy usually goes, Atlas announced they were doing the paint scheme a few months later. Sheesh. Brian
