Oldrk - don't know if you're a bluegrass fan, but The Dillards (known better as the Darling family on The Andy Griffith Show) have a couple songs that are just perfect for train chasing and train videos. Off their CD "The Dillards a long time ago" recorded live in 1962: John Hardy (originally a song about a mining town and the hanging of John Hardy...) Banjo In The Hollow Cannonball Blues Whitehouse Blues Of course there are a lot of railroad folk and bluegrass songs, but these four are all on one CD an really good. Of course old rock and rollers like "Train Kept A-Rollin" which was made famous by Aerosmith but was actually first made popular by The Yardbirds. In the 1966 movie Blowup - Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin is playing it with the Yardbirds...
Didn't need to search for the answer.I grew up hearing songs by Jimmy Rodgers "The Singing Brakeman"; 'Orange Blossom Special', 'Wabash Cannonball' 'City of New Orleans' &c. Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Rock. Plus a lot of songs we sang in school. But, Oldrk, who sang a song about the Canadian Pacific?
