There are a couple of different options for double bridges. Luetke offers bridge kits designed for two tracks: Ztrack Center: Luetke Modellbahn Bridges Another option is Micron-Arts plate girder bridge. Two can easily be placed side by side for a double. Ztrack Center: PSW Girder And Abutment Set TrainCat offer brass kit bridges for double track. Their web site is TrainCat Model Sales Home Page From my experience, placing two bridges side by the way is typically the way to go in Z since double track bridge options are limited. Some Z scalers have used N scale bridges in order to increase their options. The January/February issue of Ztrack will have a cover photo that includes a modified N scale brass bridge. Rob
It's a problem in our scale and with the Z-Bend Track standard at the same as Märklin's track spacing, I'd think we'd have a lot more double track bridges than Kibri, Noch and Märklin's Euro versions. Need some plastic U.S. ones too. The Walthers Cornerstone and Micro Engineering kits are pretty good Z scale size (compared to the MUCH more obviously large Atlas, etc. Just make new bottom pieces to narrow the panels. .
Well Guys, Artwork for the double is complete and I am starting to make the tooling master. I should have the proto metal in about 30 days.
This is for the Pratt Thru Truss correct? Any plans of doing either of the Pratt Deck Truss in Z? I'm in the market for a double Pratt Deck Truss in Z. :wink3ed:
