I bought an Atlas GP9 (MILW #253) from eBay and it came without box. So now I am searching for the Atlas product number and the year the model was produced. A search in my back issues of Model Railroader was not yet successful, still some issues to look through.
Does a Atlas model history exist anywhere in the Internet?
    Any help is appreciated :)

It wouldn't be an Atlas First Generation loco though.

You're correct. I didn't see the model number on Spookshow, either, so...

[edit] How about this one? Torpedo tube? Number is 50864

[edit #2] Here, from a Walthers search to include out-of-stock items:
    150-48321 Limited-Run Diesel - GP9 Phase 2 - Milwaukee Road #253.

    So, Atlas number is 48321.

    Walthers picture.

Didn't know the question was posted, as the browser froze and returned a database error. Thank you for the answers. I had checked spookshow with the same (negative) result.
I just now checked the pages at Amherst Depot and found the engine, it is from 1996.
Amherst Depot has most of these models listed. I think I had their name from an earlier post.
