The NKP 'beese sell very well, both in N and HO. I've seen the HO version go for almost $80. I guess this is a case of supply doesn't equal demand!

It was released July 2004, along with Clinchfield, N & W, Penn Central and New Haven.

This is the only NKP NE6 I've seen on eBay; found the other 4 rail roads and all going for $17

Looks like the NKP NE6 is scarcer than hen's teeth :tb-err:

Saw one of these sitting on the shelf at a local hobby shop last week - $14.95 - and I thought that was over priced - looks like I'm going to the hobby shop later today to pick it up...

The NKP reserved very poorly which resulted in very few ordered for stock.
They ended up being the only one that sold out.
We turn away 5+ orders a week for this one.
Unfortunately since almost all the other versions of the NE-6 are still plentiful it may be a while before Atlas does another run.
Or I could be wrong and they will announce them next week with the 2nd qtr catalog.

I've seen them go for more then that. Like George said, they sold out and are really hard to find now.

I'd kill for two C&O Ex-Vis Cabs that came out back in 2004...

I noticed a couple of the NKP cabooses sold for $81.02 and $71.00, earlier this year on ebay. This seller must feel like he almost gave his away selling it for only $45 !

    Regards, Keith.

They likely are available. We have two diistributors that have inventory as old as 20 years. That's why we find product regularly for customers that other dealers won't look for. Get me the part numbers.

Why does the phrase "there's a sucker born every minute" run thru my head? The NKP crummy may be scarce out there, but I don't think I'd be shelling out that much coin- I'd be learning how to paint & decal. I was having to do that in HO when I needed Frisco cabooses until Athearn started releasing cabooses in that road. Now that I'm doing N, I'm grateful to Atlas for their efforts, but in some cases I'll still need to paint & decal to get what I want. Or am I out of the loop here?:tb-wacky:

Right on! Bingo! Etc.! If you do that, your roster of cars can be almost anything you want. One of the main reasons I started painting was to get more varied (and accurate) Espee boxcars.

The problem is that the MS decals suck, they havent been revised in a long time. The stock is old if they have done a revision. I picked up an NKP Caboose from a very familiar Atlas and Trainboard forum member for MSRP plus shipping, he is a Godsend!

Yes the old "Supply & Demand " issue. Just wait until TrainCat comes out with there Bay Window SP C30-4/6, after there production quota is exhausted I bet they'll draw a pretty penny as well.

I hope I didn't miss the boat! He he he...I just put an Atlas NE style and a bay window NKP cabooses on ebay. My luck is they won't go for much...
But if some people got the NKP itch, I've got a couple cures.
