Not sure I'm in the right forum for this: forgive me if not.
I'd like to power my inexpensive 90' turntable from a separate
power pack (run my engines DCC and my layout lighting from
another power pack). Does anyone happen to know of a
relatively inexpensive power pack that has an on/off switch?
It would not get a lot of use, so I don't want to leave the power
pack on all the time or have to plug and unplug it.
    Thanks,

One of my pet peeves about most power packs (and my Digitrax Zephyr for that matter) is the manufacturer's aversion to putting a power switch on them.

I have at least half a dozen low-end power packs and the only one with an on/off switch came with an Athearn Thunder Rails set. Internet trains has it for about $25.

No, I don't get a kickback from them.

    Best!

Looks like exactly what I want. Thanks Flash and Lownen!
Too bad about that Internet Trains $11.00 shipping charge,
though. I think that's the highest I've seen on any train site.

Go to Wal-Mart and get a small rotary switch that fits onto a cord. Install it on the cord of a cheap power pack.

I've considered getting a zip cord rocker switch for my Kato and B'mann power packs, but then you have the switch hanging from the cable. I really having it on the box.

Just use a power strip for those unswitched power supplies. They not only have a switch, but also have a circuit breaker.
