It's a new concept in intermodal: trans-oceanic. No grades, no costly port operations.

Jan - BRAN stacks are just about done. I'm also scrambling to put together a photo module so I can put these units on land. ;)

Completely nuts - what spine cars are those? I don't recognize them.

Nice thread! Keep it up. Cheers, Gary

Jan, question on your stacks, are these 45' containers ?
Gary, bougt this spine cars from Alan Curtis before he retired a time ago.
    Great nice looking spine cars.
I heard someone else is producing his kits when Alan retired, but don't know who.

Ahh - didn't recognize them. The AC kits are now being offered by Peter Harris under the http://www.nscalekits.com/ line. He deserves our support! I'm overdue for a new order myself.

One of my favorite old threads is the AC tribute: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=81423&highlight=alan+curtis+tribute

Ok - this time a bit of scenery, but no stacks - just bare tables:

    and:

    and on and on...

Sorry about the lousy depth of field... Of course in my mind, this scene looks more like this:

    http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=164493&nseq=7

the entrance to Caliente from Ilmon Canyon at the base of the Tehachapi line.
