I can't give you help on prices. However, as far as people being happy, or not, most folks I know are very happy. What few nit picks there seem to be, are not worth worrying over. Go for it!

The Walthers "Hiawatha" cars are full length and have interiors. The hand grabs need to be installed by the owner. Couplers should be replaced with Kadee 5 or the new Whisker equivilant.
I have a fifteen car GN Empire Builder made up of Walthers cars and recommend a minimum radius curve of 26" for them. The cars are extremely well done. As in the case of the Hiawatha cars it would have been nice to have the Pullman cars included so a Pioneer Limited or Olympian Hiawatha could be modeled.

To model the Oly Hi, they'd have also needed to make Creek series Skytops.

Thank you for everyones opions. i was thinking of just getting the Hiawatha car and get a mix of fallen flag passenger cars kind of like the Milwaukee 261 does. My layout is more like a early to late 90s into 2000`s so, just because i love that car i want to add it. Does the red light flash on the HO model on the Hiawatha car?
